I will critique your work, only if you want an unbiased and real read through of your narrative.

 

This is not a “review” per say. If you’re looking for a review with a star rating, then find a book blogger who is reading for fun. There are numerous ones out there who do an amazing job with their blogs.

 

What I offer vastly differs from a book blogger.  I offer a writer’s workshop approach to your critique, focusing on “high end” concerns.

 

I do not bother with editing (don’t ask); I assume if you’re going to sell your book, you will be paying for an editor. If your grammar/spelling is notorious, I may call it out. If you tell me you are already selling your book, and your editing is terrible, I will definitely call it out. However, editing, grammar, etc, is not a high end concern (also, I suck at it, that’s why I pay lots of money for an editor for my books). I will be focusing on tone, voice, clarity, pace, originality, structure, dialogue, and ect.

 

I will not pull any punches; it will always be 100% honest. Critiques can be hard to read, they can sting, hell, they can even make you angry. Luckily, one of my strengths as a writer is to deliver constructive criticism on a very motivating and positive note.  The entire process is to grow and learn from this type of review.

 

With that being said, I will never outright bash any work, all authors have merit. The amount of respect I have for anyone trying to do what we do is through the roof. Know that although it will be honest, your works will be in caring hands. I just want to help you grow.

 

I will critique any work that interests me, all levels of writers are welcome to submit, WIP’s are welcome as well as short stories My only exception is poetry.

I offer my critique in exchange for a free copy of your book. I use a kindle, digital only please. I will never pay for any books.

 

I will NOT participate in a review for a review. I will NOT post on any other sites unless the author requests it. Too many horror stories of an author not liking another’s review, and then flaming their amazon page with terrible reviews as some sort of “retaliation”.
